General Event Policies

All decorations must be coordinated through the Raccoon Creek event representative. All decorating must be done by the florist, wedding party, family, or friends. All decorating must be done within the 2-hour setup time allowed for your event. All decorations must also be cleaned up and removed at the conclusion of your reception within the 1-hour cleanup time allotted. No decoration items may be left at Raccoon Creek. Raccoon Creek prohibits the use of confetti, glitter, beads, rice, bird seed, silly string, sparklers, Chinese lanterns, fog machines, tape, staples, nails, tacks, screws, hooks, bubbles (indoors), and artificial flower petals (outdoors). The use of candles is allowed; however, they must be in glass holders with the flame height not reaching above the glass.

Staff Gratuities
A minimum gratuity of $150 will be added for the event coordinator from Raccoon Creek, who will be there the day of the event. Gratuities are recommended but not required for the banquet staff; this is left to the client’s discretion. The 20% service fee covers only labor costs for the banquet and bar staff of Raccoon Creek.

Event Location & Golf Course Access
You have reserved a specific location for your event. All event guests must stay within the boundaries of that area, which does not include any portion of the golf course. There is no access to golf carts for the wedding party or wedding guests. The bride, groom, and photographer will have access to the 17th hole for photographs and will be escorted to the approved area by a Raccoon Creek event representative.

Any damage to the barn, bridal cottage, event lawn, grounds, or course caused by guests or decorations is the financial responsibility of the persons renting the facility. These costs will be deducted from the security deposit. Clients are responsible for the behavior of their guests.

Photos may be taken anywhere around the clubhouse area, including the barns, wagon, gardens, etc. The only golf course access will be for the bride, groom, and photographer. They will be escorted by a Raccoon Creek event representative to the designated area at our signature 17th hole.

No outside beverages of any kind may be brought onto the premises. In accordance with our liquor license, Raccoon Creek must control all alcohol sales. This includes our parking lots, bridal cottage, and groom’s loft area. Please let your event representative know in advance if you would like a beverage prior to the ceremony. IF OUTSIDE ALCOHOL IS FOUND, YOUR ENTIRE SECURITY DEPOSIT WILL BE FORFEITED. Our bartenders will ID as necessary. Please advise guests to bring the appropriate identification. The bar will close 30 minutes prior to the conclusion of your event. There will be no last call. No alcohol may be taken off premises.

Tastings are for booked couples only. You must RSVP in advance to attend. Group tastings are held on the 2nd Wednesday of each month from 5:30–7:30 p.m. We provide four tasting slots per couple. You may invite additional guests or attend more than one tasting to fill the four slots. If you need more than four tasting slots, there will be an additional charge. We will also have certain vendors in attendance. This would be a great opportunity to check out their services.

The final guest count must be submitted to the Raccoon Creek event representative 3 weeks prior to your event. This count will be considered your minimum guest count. The final bill will be based on your guarantee. We will prepare for 5% over to cover any unexpected guests. If your actual guest count is over your guaranteed number, you will be charged accordingly.

Vendor Meals
Many vendor contracts require that you provide them with a meal. Please check the contracts you have signed with your DJ, musicians, and photographers. Include them in your final guest count but be sure to distinguish how many vendors there are. Vendors are only charged for dinner, not for hors d’oeuvres, dessert, or beverages.

Leftover Food
Due to state health, liquor, and insurance regulations, leftover food or beverages may not be taken from the premises. The only exception will be for wedding cake brought in from an outside vendor. Any leftover cake will be boxed up for you to take home at the end of the night.

Wedding Cake
Wedding cake may be brought in during your setup time, 2 hours prior to your wedding. We do not have refrigeration for your cake. We will cut and serve your cake for no additional charge. All extra cake will be boxed up at the end of the night for you to take home.

Bridal Suite & Groom’s Loft
The bridal suite in the bridal cottage and the groom’s loft in the barn will be available for 2 hours prior to the start of the ceremony. No outside food or beverage of any kind is allowed. Food and beverages may be purchased through Raccoon Creek. Please be sure to gather all of your belongings at the end of the event. Raccoon Creek will not be held responsible for lost or stolen items.

The event venue rental cost includes a 1-hour rehearsal. Rehearsals will be scheduled by the event representative 60 days prior to the event. Rehearsals are allowed up to 1 hour of time at the ceremony location. The event representative will be available to assist as needed and to answer any questions.

Raccoon Creek Golf Course does offer discounted golf packages for weddings being held at Raccoon Creek. There are different packages and rates available that vary depending on the time of year. Packages are booked through our tournament director, Don Graham,
